William Lapworth, James Feast, John Owen and Richard Morris guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of Richard Benbow in the parish of Hanley on 30^th December 1783; stealing therefrom a silver tumbler (valued at 10/-), 3 gold rings set with stones (valued at 15/-), a pair of silver tea tongs (valued at 8/-), 3 silver teaspoons (valued at 4/-), the silver bowl of a punch ladle (valued at 5/-), a pair of silver shoe buckles (valued at 10/-), 15 silver coat buttons (valued at 15/-), 2 silk gowns (valued at 40/-), the silk cuff of a black silk gown (valued at 2/-), a silk and cotton waistcoat (valued at 5/-), a cloth great coat (valued at 5/-), 2 silk handkerchiefs (valued at 5/-), a fringed muslin handkerchief (valued at 3/-), 3 pieces of thread lace (valued at 5/-), a laced double ruffle (valued at 2/-), 2 linen handkerchiefs (valued at 2/-), 3 pairs of worsted stockings (valued at 4/-), a pair of leather shoes (valued at 2/-), a pair of plated shoe buckles (value at 1/-), 32 gold guineas, 5 silver crown pieces, 1/6 in money numbered and 4 Promissory Notes for £5.5/- ech.
